Worship

Many people in ministry have views (often strongly held!) about how worship should be led and of what it should consist.  Inevitably, it will be impossible to satisfy all the different expectations in every service being held during the conference, so we hope that there is something for everyone somewhere during our time together.

The basic pattern is prayer in the morning, evening and at night, but there will be a variety of people leading the services and the style will certainly be varied, which I hope reflects something of our diversity of worship style.

If some of the hymns are perhaps a little unfamiliar and the worship style isn’t exactly the same as your home church, we hope that everyone will enjoy the chance to come together as the diocesan family in the presence of our heavenly Father.

The opening and closing Eucharists will be held in the conference room (Knighton Suite), but all the other services will be held in the Chapel (Howden Suite).  The Chapel will be available throughout the conference for quiet prayer and reflection.

Steven Grahl, Director of Music at Peterborough Cathedral, will be part of the team for the conference.
