In partnership with Historic England, the Diocese of Peterborough wishes to appoint a Historic Churches Support Officer to help provide support for local parishes in their responsibility to care for their church buildings.

   worship;
• Identify and support those church buildings which are a priority for both Historic England and the
   Diocese of Peterborough;
• Help parishes identify sources of funding for building projects and provide support in applying for grants
   and build capacity within church communities;
• Improve public access to, and understanding of, Anglican church buildings in the Diocese of
  Peterborough;
• Signpost good practice procedures for maintenance, conservation, accessibility and ecology; and
• Support the reduction of historic churches at risk throughout the Diocese.
