Lay ministry training
Courses are offered in the diocese to lay people training for ministries that are licensed by the bishop, or awarded a certificate by the bishop on completion.

Lay Pastoral Minister, Licensed Evangelist and Reader training
Training for these licensed lay ministries takes place on the Lay Ministry Course (LMC). This is a part-time programme of training over two years for Lay Pastoral Ministers and Licensed Evangelists, three years for Readers. It involves a core foundational module, specialist modules for each particular ministry and makes use of the Living Faith modules.

Cost of the training to the parish is £200 per student per year. This is billed directly by the Peterborough Office to the PCC annually.
Creative Use of Resources 2017
First session starts 16th January
Taking place at Bouverie Court, 6 The Lakes, Bedford Road, Northampton NN4 7YD from 7.30-9.30pm
Certificate in Children's Ministry
This one-year course is open to all who work with children. On successful completion of the training, students receive accreditation in the form of a certificate signed by the Bishop, presented by their parish priest.

Certificate in Lay Worship Leaders’ Ministry
A one-year course for lay people who are, or will be, involved in leading services in their parish or benefice. This will be at the invitation of their incumbent who will supervise their ministry.

House Group Leader's Certificate
A one year course for lay people who are, or will be, leading house groups in their parish or benefice. The course gives some theological training and practical guidance for which accreditation is received.
