The Parishes of Hardingstone & Horton & Piddington & Quinton & Preston Deanery
These four parishes lie only a few miles from the centre of the county town of Northampton, encompassing extensive arable farmland and village communities as well as an industrial area which is home to 150 companies and organisations. Pastoral re-organisation is proposed to unite Horton with Piddington and to unite Quinton & Preston Deanery with the other parishes. All the parishes look forward to being part of an integrated co-operating benefice, sharing their gifts and talents to encourage growth and involvement with the wider community. We seek a priest who:
• leads, motivates and inspires with energy, enthusiasm and empathy
• relates well to both rural and urban contexts and people, helping them to find faith and fulfilment in Jesus
• enables congregation members to grow their faith and live out their faith in their everyday lives

Our Group of 8 churches is looking to expand our team with a person who has a passion for pastoral work and children / young people’s work in a rural setting. If you are looking to retire gently to the countryside – this is not for you. Our communities include a wonderful mix of senior people, 3 primary schools and one secondary school and our mission is to value all and encourage the growth of God’s Kingdom, and the increase in Church membership, by living out our faith in these very varied villages. We are a lively and growing church in north-west Wellingborough. We meet in Redwell Junior School.
Our active children’s and youth groups are a very important part of our church life.
We are looking for someone who will oversee and develop our current work amongst
children aged 0-11 years and develop strategies to reach families in the community.
Working with the Priest in Charge as line manager, the successful candidate will have the following main responsibilities:
• To have oversight of existing children’s groups and bring new ideas / material / energy for spiritual input into the groups
• To take the lead in building relationships with and discipling children and in building bridges with their families
• To co-ordinate and lead the monthly fresh expression of church amongst children and their families along the lines of ‘Messy Church’
You will need: to have a strong Christian commitment and a desire to teach children about the Christian faith.
to have had previous experience working with children and their families.
to be able to work as part of a team as well as lead a team of volunteers.
to be able to establish and develop relationships with children, colleagues and parents.

The Diocesan Board of Education is committed to its mission to promote Christian education excelling in quality and distinctive in sharing God’s love. We seek a Director who is excited by the opportunities open to us in the rapidly changing context of education and who has the appropriate experience and ability to lead our dedicated Education Team.
It is an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a communicant member of the Church of England or a full member of a church within Churches Together in Britain and Ireland in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. Salary: £55,000 or equivalent clergy package
