Introduction

Christians believe in the profound dignity of every person. God intends a world of justice and compassion where people live in community with one another and in harmony with all God’s creation.

Through the work of social justice in our diocese we seek to live out our faith. This social witness includes the environment, trade justice and fairtrade, urban and rural issues, inclusion and equality, inter-faith relations and family and community life.

Family Care group discussion materials:

Family Care, the charity within the diocese that works with families under pressure, has put together a series of discussion suggestions for use during Lent and the Easter season. Each session paper is printable on one sheet of A4. The sessions are designed for small group discussions within parishes, home groups, or for individuals to prayerfully think though at home, but can be expanded for larger events and groups. Following the major themes of Lent but with a strong slant towards questions of family life today, the set of papers is available here.
