Xpect Apprenticeships

Xpect is an opportunity to give a year to developing youth work and ministry in the Diocese of Peterborough. We believe young people bring hope to the church both now and for the future. We expect God to grow His church and to send out workers.

Apprentices are placed with a church or group of churches in a rural or urban setting for one year to work with young people and the local community.

They meet regularly for training in youth ministry skills, leadership and theology. The programme begins with an induction residential in September. A mid-year residential is held in March.

Apprentices grow in faith, discipleship and character. Each one has a personal mentor who will offer support and challenge through the year.

Xpect apprentices will be paid a weekly allowance and receive free board and lodging.

More information contact the Youth Officer.
