The Living Brook Benefice & St Mary’s, Northampton

  • The three churches of the Living Brook Benefice serve the communities of Hardingstone, Horton, Hackleton, Piddington, Quinton & Preston Deanery.

  • The Parish of St Mary’s, (Far Cotton) Northampton, was formed in 1875 from Hardingstone parish.

We are seeking:

An Incumbent of Living Brook Benefice & St Mary’s, Northampton

(to be held in plurality) with particular hands-on responsibility for the churches at Hardingstone and Far Cotton

  • To work with supportive lay and ordained colleagues

  • To minister primarily to the churches and communities at Hardingstone and Far Cotton

  • To forge new and creative missional opportunities in this area of Northampton

  • To welcome children and young people as an essential part of the church family

  • To build bridges into the communities and establish strong school links

  • To share ministry with a House for Duty colleague who will exercise care for the villages


A House for Duty Priest

with particular responsibility for the Living Brook Churches at Piddington & Quinton and their surrounding villages

  • To lead worship and provide pastoral care in the villages

  • To be a visible presence in these welcoming communities

  • To be thoroughly involved in the life of Hackleton CEVA Primary School

  • To lead the PCCs at Piddington & Quinton

  • To work happily alongside the Incumbent who will be focused on the two other churches
