House for Duty Priest in Charge of Ketton and Tinwell

We seek a priest of central churchmanship, enthusiastic to pursue outreach in rural communities, particularly amongst the young, to serve in these two neighbouring villages in Rutland, close to the A1, Stamford and Peterborough.

We are looking for someone who is keen to:

  • maintain strong links with Ketton C of E Primary School and develop the churches’ worship pattern to include services attractive to young families
  • share the focal role of the church in the life of village communities, whilst understanding the importance of both being and doing in parish ministry
  • honour parishioners of any or no churchmanship, be supportive of ecumenical links with Ketton Methodist Church and proclaim an inclusive Christian message appropriate for the 21st century
  • play an active role in a deanery and diocese which continue to seek to develop sustainable patterns of mission and ministry in both urban and rural areas
