Rector of Yardley Hastings, Denton & Grendon w Castle Ashby & Whiston

We are looking for a ‘real’ person! In these parishes we work as a committed team of lay and ordained people with gifts and enthusiasm and the vicar is not expected to do everything. We need a leader who can help us to make the Bible and the Gospel message of God’s love real to all people in these communities.

Our new Rector will be:

  • warm, calm, open and compassionate

  • able to work with (and train others to work with) children and young people

  • thoroughly engaged in the local schools

  • prioritising growth of our congregations and the energising of our All Age Worship

  • teaching and leading a variety of worship styles

  • a visible presence in the communities whilst caring for those in need

  • encouraging the churches in the stewardship of time, talents and money

  • tech-savvy

  • working with us to enable change by evolution not revolution

The Benefice consists of five parishes, located in a beautiful rural area in central Northamptonshire not far from the County town of Northampton. The benefice has a population of about 2200 people. The Rectory is located in the village of Denton. We would love to hear from you if you think that God may be calling you to minister in this benefice.
