Love Werrington Assistants

Werrington Parish Church seeks to appoint two Love Werrington Assistants, to continue the work of our exciting Christian social action initiative ‘Love Werrington’. The Love Werrington Assistants will be based in the parish and will work with children & families, young people, a team of volunteers, schools, local businesses and other professionals in the surrounding area.

20 Hours per week - Salary £8.75 per hour

This is a part-time post for one year, with our hope of extending the contract being dependent on the availability of further grants.

Student and Young Adult Mission Leader

St Giles Church and Friendship International: Students and Host (FISH) are offering an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed individual to lead and pioneer our Student work, seeking to reach out to the 14,000 students at the University of Northampton and to help lead our Young Adult ministry.

Salary: £20,800 pro-rata (FTE 40 hours) annually
Initially 2 year fixed term contract
Part-time 28 hours per week (16 h/w with St Giles, 12 h/w with FISH
This role requires an enhanced DBS check.

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To develop St Giles’ ministry and mission with University students, particularly seeking to reach those who are not Christians.

  • To oversee and seek to expand St Giles’ existing ministry with young adults and students.

  • To nurture those within the student and young adult ministry to be disciple making disciples of Jesus Christ.

  • To guide the Student and Young Adults leadership team to enable them to lead, resource and facilitate weekly gatherings as well as organising outreach initiatives and social activities.

  • To plan student welcome programmes, especially around key times of the year such as Freshers' Week.

  • To assist the Church Leadership in providing pastoral care for students and young adults.

  • To continue to develop the partnership with FISH and to raise the profile of mission and ministry with international students both at St Giles and beyond.

Music Post at St Mary the Virgin, Higham Ferrers

St Mary the Virgin, Higham Ferrers is looking to enhance and develop its music provision – building on our long-standing fine choral and music tradition. We are exploring new and creative ways to enrich our worship, as well as engaging more fully with our community.

We are inviting enquiries and expressions of interest from church musicians with previous experience as an organist, choir director or musician to explore a possible post as Director of Music, or Assistant Organist, at this exciting time of new possibilities. This is an unique opportunity to be involved at the beginning of shaping both this post and the potential development of music and liturgy within the church. RSCM professional rates are offered on a range from £3,500 to £6,500 (depending on the nature of the post appointed to and previous experience).

  • An excellent musician with some experience of church music and choirs to grow and develop the musical life of our church and community

  • Good interpersonal skills and proven organisational ability.

Hope for Every Home Project Manager

Hope for Every Home serves local churches to equip Christians to take the good news of Jesus to every person, home by home. We also encourage Christians to show compassion through practical action, like Jesus. And we believe that we can achieve nothing without prayer. Hope for Every Home in the UK began as part of HOPE in 2017 and is part of Every Home for Christ International. The Project Manager will be mentored by Roy Crowne and will also receive training from Every Home for Christ.

This is a full-time position with a £30,000 salary

Student Christian Movement CEO

As part of our exciting development, the Student Christian Movement wishes to appoint a CEO to lead the organisation. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated person who can provide strategic leadership, raise our profile, and oversee fundraising to support the growth of the movement. Together with the Operations Manager, the CEO will support and develop a talented staff team.

The ideal candidate will enjoy networking, acting as a confident ambassador of the organisation, and will be adept at promoting organisations with marketing flair. Our CEO will be a successful manager of teams, creating high levels of motivation and ensuring financial targets are met.
