Personal Assistant to the Bishop of Peterborough (maternity cover)

and Administrator for the Ministers’ Conference

The Bishop of Peterborough wishes to make two appointments to his office:

1. A Personal Assistant (maternity cover) to provide full support to all areas of the bishop’s ministry, working alongside the Bishop’s Chaplain.  This is a full time position from 20 January 2020 for an expected fourteen-month period. £28,500pa. 
Based in The Palace, Peterborough.

2. An Administrator for the Ministers’ Conference to provide full administrative support for the organisation and running of the Conference.  This appointment is from mid March until late November.  It is envisaged as being one day a week until mid October, and from then be closer to a full time commitment.  Attendance at the residential conference is required (Staffordshire).  £5,000. 
Based both from home and The Palace, Peterborough

The Church of England’s Diocese of Peterborough is seeking a person able to give administrative and secretarial support to a team of staff working from the Diocesan Centre at Bouverie Court.  Applicants will need to be confident in the use of IT as well as able to give a secretarial service.

Music Post at St Mary the Virgin, Higham Ferrers

St Mary the Virgin, Higham Ferrers is looking to enhance and develop its music provision – building on our long-standing fine choral and music tradition. We are exploring new and creative ways to enrich our worship, as well as engaging more fully with our community.

We are inviting enquiries and expressions of interest from church musicians with previous experience as an organist, choir director or musician to explore a possible post as Director of Music, or Assistant Organist, at this exciting time of new possibilities. This is an unique opportunity to be involved at the beginning of shaping both this post and the potential development of music and liturgy within the church. RSCM professional rates are offered on a range from £3,500 to £6,500 (depending on the nature of the post appointed to and previous experience).
