Continuing Ministerial Development Officer Diocese of Chichester and Priest-in-Charge of St John the Baptist, Hove

The Bishop of Chichester is seeking to appoint an experienced priest to be half-time CMD Officer for the clergy of the diocese and half-time parish priest of St John the Baptist, Hove.

A wonderful opportunity to minister in a lovely part of England. The role of CMD officer involves

  • Working with a committed team in the Diocesan Department for Apostolic Life;
  • Supporting clergy as they develop throughout their ministry, and enabling them to deliver Diocesan Strategy;
  • Working with the Bishop’s staff to develop appropriate resources and training for clergy;
  • Helping the Diocese theologically reflect and respond to the demands, challenges and opportunities for ministry in Sussex today;
  • Helping to enable the Diocese become more fruitful in mission.

St John the Baptist, Hove is looking for a priest who

Head of Development for Growing Christian Communities Diocese of Chelmsford

The Head of Development is a new senior role with leadership responsibility for the development of Christian communities, pioneer ministry and fresh expressions in the Diocese of Chelmsford including co-ordination and oversight of our church planting projects in strategic mission priority areas, many of which are externally funded through the Church Commissioners.

Director of Music – The Priory Church of Deeping St James

We are looking for an organist and choir trainer to work in a church with an established choral tradition.

We have a fine, well-maintained, three manual pipe organ.

Our regular robed choir is affiliated to the RSCM and consists mostly of adults, with an embryonic junior choir in training, which we wish to develop.

We enjoy a wide range of church music, with services at 10.00am weekly and a monthly choral evensong. There are occasional special services as well as approximately 8 to 10 weddings per year and funerals.

The Priory Church is situated 8 miles north of Peterborough (PE6 8NP)

Pay commensurate with experience, plus fees.
