Parish Priest (half-time or house for duty) of Barrowden & Wakerley, Duddington, Morcott, South Luffenham and Tixover (The Welland Fosse Benefice)

We seek to appoint an approachable, flexible, sensitive and creative priest with spiritual depth to serve these five small rural parishes set in delightful countryside on the Rutland/Northamptonshire border. This is a well-established post. We would expect the priest appointed to work closely with the other clergy of the deanery in mutual support, in providing pastoral cover and in long-term pastoral planning. We are looking for someone who will:

  • Embrace diversity across the benefice and offer challenging yet accessible worship and preaching

  • Offer pastoral care, encourage parishioners to deepen their lives of prayer and inspire them to develop and deploy their gifts in their communities

  • Engage fully in the life of the whole rural community
