Rector of St Peter’s Church, Weston Favell, Northampton

Weston Favell is a parish of 8,000 people on the edge of Northampton. Whereas the centre of Weston Favell is a conservation area, the parish includes the whole range of housing types and local amenities. We have good links with our primary schools – especially with our excellent church school. St Peter’s is a friendly, warm and welcoming Christian community with a desire to grow spiritually. Our buildings are in good condition and we are in a strong financial position.

In the next few years, our vision is to:

  • integrate children and families more fully into church life

  • encourage all into deeper discipleship

  • be generous in our stewardship of money, time and talents

  • provide greater opportunity for study and growth

  • become more outward looking.

We look forward to appointing the 50th Rector of St Peter’s. Our new Rector should be someone who:

  • is a team leader

  • is a clear and lively interpreter of God’s Word

  • is sensitive to tradition whilst able to bring new ideas for worship and work with families and teenagers

  • can harness the lively enthusiasm of our church family
