Vicar (House for Duty) of Bretton

We seek an enthusiastic and approachable priest to lead the life and mission of the Church of the Holy Spirit, a faithful and supportive Christian community that seeks to care for God’s creation and to reach out in witness and service to this township of around 13,000 residents on the north-western edge of the city of Peterborough.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • open to different styles of worship, and to the opportunities and challenges of ministering to a diverse, international and
    inter-generational community

  • an encourager of others, especially of the young, and good at enabling those of all ages with leadership potential to develop their skills

  • experienced in engaging with other community organisations, in order to serve the needs of an area with a significant degree of social deprivation

  • forward-looking, able to prepare the church well for the future, and particularly to raise additional funds for an ongoing project to refurbish our church building which is set within the multi-purpose Cresset Centre
