Vicar of Brackley & Rural Dean of Brackley Deanery
This is a key post in the Northampton Archdeaconry and in Peterborough Diocese. Brackley Deanery consists of 30 parishes of which the town of Brackley is by far the largest – now with a population of around 18,000. The new Vicar of St Peter with St James will be joining a church that is eager to be missional in the ever growing town of Brackley.
In the town of Brackley we are looking for a Vicar who will
- enjoy the challenge of leading a church into growth
- communicate the gospel with clarity and conviction
- have experience of working with children and families in the wider community
- enable the church to offer worship that is open and accessible
- thrive as a team player
- be comfortable with IT
In Brackley Deanery the Vicar will
- serve as a missional Rural Dean for an initial period of 5 years
- work with new and established incumbents
- help a largely rural deanery to grow in confidence
- enable Brackley Church to become a positive force for the Deanery
