Vicar of Northampton St Benedict

The parish of St Benedict, Northampton, is a single church benefice with a population of around 30,000. The church was built in 1982 as the parish of Hunsbury was being developed to the south of Northampton.

We are looking for a vicar who:

  • Has a strong and visible spirituality and can lead our post-Covid-19 recovery, on-site and on-line.

  • Is a warm, confident and approachable team leader with strong emotional intelligence and people skills.

  • Has a real desire to develop a ministry to young people and families and to build on our positive contact with local schools.

  • Will help us to raise the profile of St Benedict’s in the community.

  • Possesses great communication skills, both in church and in the wider community.

  • Can make the Word of God accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

  • Will embrace and encourage equality, diversity and inclusion in worship and ministry.

Our mission is to encourage the people of the parish to worship God in a loving, caring environment and help them find faith and fulfilment in Jesus. Therefore, St Benedict’s has followed a Eucharistic ministry in an engaging, flexible and relaxed manner. We pride ourselves on being known for our friendliness and warm welcome.

We hope that our new vicar will bring fresh ideas and help us generate new initiatives.

Could this be you?
