Diocesan Synod

Diocesan Synod meets two or three times a year. Follow the links below for an account of recent Diocesan Synod meetings.

Between February and March (before the coronavirus lockdown), churches, chaplaincies and schools within the diocese were encouraged to share the environmental work they have been involved in – and it had a fantastic response. We caught up with Beverley Hollins, Chair of the Diocesan House of Clergy, to find out more about this scheme. You can read her article about this here.

The posters below gives details of the environmental activities carried out by local churches and church schools. They were due to be displayed at the Diocesan Synod meeting on Saturday 21st March 2020, which was subsequently cancelled due to COVID-19. It is hoped that another opportunity will be found for discussing them within the Diocese in due course.
