Anti-Racism Task Force Report

Revd Sonia Barron will join us for an hour to discuss The Archbishops’ Anti-racism Taskforce, which was mandated to implement ‘significant cultural and structural change’ on issues of racial justice within the Church of England.

In their statement announcing the Taskforce and the Commission, the House of Bishops stated: ‘For the Church to be a credible voice in calling for change across the world, we must now ensure that apologies and lament are accompanied by swift actions leading to real change.’

The report, From Lament to action, provided a theological rationale for the actions proposed and Sonia hopes in our time together to share with us some reflections on the findings of the report, hear some of our responses, and answer any questions.

Email Lesley-Anne.Marriott@peterborough-diocese.org.uk to book a place.
