Fellowship of Word and Spirit Conference (COVID-19 permitting)

Refresh: renewing our passion for godliness

The conference will explore the theme of godliness, reflecting on how it has been understood by Christians in the past, as well as specific areas of application for today.

There will be plenty of time to consider the implications for our expression of faith in the church and how churches should address issues arising in the community. Among other speakers, Revd Mark Lucas (Vicar of St Botolph’s Church, Barton Seagrave) will be giving the conference Bible readings from Ephesians. The organisers hope that it will be a time of genuine spiritual and physical refreshment for both clergy and lay people.

We hope that many of you will be able to join us for this precious time of fellowship next year. Download the booking form here.

Measurement in mental health care. Does spirituality count, and can it be counted?

What does spirituality—or a sense of belonging—have to do with mental health?
How do you measure spirituality and the impact of spiritual care on health outcomes?

These are questions that Associate Medical Director for Research and Innovation Paul Wallang and Lead Chaplain Philip Evans have been working to answer at St. Andrew’s Healthcare, a specialist psychiatric health care organization in the United Kingdom.

Join us for a conversation with Dr. Wallang and Reverend Evans about how psychiatrists, chaplains, and other St. Andrew’s team members collaborate with patients to identify and measure the outcomes of belonging, spirituality, and spiritual care that matter most.

A 10 day Pilgrimage to Israel and Palestine

Following in the Footsteps of Jesus led by The Rt Revd Donald Allister

I hope you can join me for my next Holy Land pilgrimage. I confidently expect that it will be:

  • exhilarating
  • exhausting
  • faith-building

For those who have been with me before, this pilgrimage will be different:

  • a full day longer with more activities
  • two bases instead of three
  • starting with Jerusalem and the south, finishing with Galilee and the north

For those who have not been on such a pilgrimage, please note:

  • this is a Christian pilgrimage, and we will worship together, singing, praying, reading the Bible, and celebrating Holy Communion every day
  • you need to be physically fit, able to negotiate moderate hill walking, uneven surfaces, and many steps
  • we will be well fed with lovely Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food, but we cannot always guarantee to provide special diets.

We are limited to 50 pilgrims, so get your booking in quickly
