The God Particle Play - It’s deep, smart, and very funny!

The God Particle is a romantic comedy with a hint of sci-fi by James Cary.

Dr Bex Kenworthy, a quantum physicist, has been stood up by a lab-technician. But when Dr Gilbert Romans arrives at the pub, things start to look up... until she discovers he is, in fact, the new local vicar. She is a die-hard sceptical scientist. He is a heavenly-minded clergyman. Together they create entirely the wrong kind of reaction, but a reaction nonetheless.

After the performance you're welcome to hang around and meet the cast.

More than Welcome Training Days

More than Welcome is for those who want to think about what it takes to support the full participation of disabled people at their church. Developed by Livability, and endorsed by Archbishop Justin Welby, the training day equips churches on the journey from welcome, through inclusion, towards the full participation of disabled people in all areas of church life.

We will be discussing questions like:

  • What does the Bible really say about disability?
  • What are the barriers that prevent disabled people coming to your church?
  • How can we develop our prayer, worship and teaching to be more inclusive? What would that look like?
  • How can we ensure that disabled people’s gifts are recognised and encouraged?

Let it be to me according to your Word

In the season of Advent, we will be reflecting upon Mary the Mother of Jesus.
Often held out as a model of obedience, what might she have to show us about relating to God?

The day will include time to reflect on our own experiences of God, some reflections from Sr Rachel, as well as time to be alone and quiet in the run up to Christmas.

Open to all, and for those who have no previous experience of quiet days and silence, guidance will be given as how to spend times of quiet.

Please bring a packed lunch. Reserve a place here or for more information please contact Sr Rachel Overton
