Mental Health Support

The Safeguarding Team would like to remind people: If you are living with a mental health problem, or supporting someone who is, then having access to the right information - about a condition, treatment options, or practical issues - is extremely useful.

Mind has a confidential information and support line, the Mind Infoline, available on 0300 123 3393
Their website can be found here: https://www.mind.org.uk/

You can also speak with the Samaritans, 24 hours a day and throughout the year, on 116 123.

For those who have a lived experience of abuse within a church setting, we recognise that this option may not feel safe for you. Safer Spaces is a free and independent support service providing a confidential, personal and safe space for anyone who has been abused through their relationship with the Church of England, Catholic Church of England and Wales or the church in Wales.

If you, or anyone you are in contact with, want to talk to someone independently please call the Safe Spaces helpline on 0300 303 1056  or email: safespaces@victimsupport.org.uk. Their website can be found here:  https://www.safespacesenglandandwales.org.uk/

If you have information about a safeguarding situation where a child or adult is in immediate danger or requires immediate medical attention call the emergency services on 999.
