Generous Giving Resources
Cornerstone
Cornerstone | The Church of England - Cornerstone is free online generosity tool developed by the National Church to help parishes understand their financial situation, identify highlighted areas, and work together to promote greater generosity and improved giving. It offers three distinct functions: Insights, Pathways and a comprehensive Grants database.
Generosity
Other Generosity Review Tools:
Generous Church Review | The Church of England - The Generous Church Review is a resource for your PCC to meet and reflect on your shared experience of generosity in the life of your church. By working through the cards in the pack provided, you will look in depth at what generosity is, consider what you are already doing well, and where you could improve and grow.
Generous Church Check-up | The Church of England - To be undertaken by a PCC, giving or finance sub-committee, or even a specially formed group set up for the specific task in hand, it might become an annual check-up of your ‘giving health’. It focuses on celebrating successes and identifying areas of improvement and is designed to create a plan for the coming year, without placing too much of a burden on the leadership of your church.
Generosity Week and Resources for churches:
Generosity Week | The Church of England - Generosity Week often takes place in the Harvest season, so that as we thank God for his generosity to us, we also have the opportunity to think about how we might respond to that generosity. But it can happen at any time of the year. You can use Generosity Week resources to support your church’s journey of generosity.
Building a Generous Church:
Building a generous church | The Church of England - A video resource illustrating how Generosity is at the heart of our faith.
Generous Giving Resources | Diocese of York - The Generous Giving team in the Diocese of York have created resources to support our discipleship commitment to become more Christ-like and transform our mission and ministry.
Contactless and Digital Giving
Digital Giving | The Church of England - Many churches are finding that digital giving is a great way to receive donations, particularly in a time when people are carrying less and less cash. ‘Digital giving’ is used to refer to donations made online (including via a QR code) or in-person using a bank card or smart device to make a contactless or chip and PIN gift. Find out more about digital giving options for your church.
