Cursillo Weekend #18 2-4 October 2026 at Launde Abbey

The word ‘Cursillo’ is Spanish and means ‘a short course.’ The original Cursillos were three days long, usually measured from sunset to sunset and usually from Thursday to Sunday. The British Anglican Cursillo Council agreed in recent years to trial a more condensed timetable to fit the course into a normal weekend – Friday evening to Sunday late afternoon. The three-day retreat is an opportunity to step back from the busyness of modern life and ask some searching questions about ourselves and our relationship with God and with others. Cursillo is underpinned with prayer and an acceptance of God’s grace such that we can really just be ourselves and ‘let go and let God.’  Oh yes – and we have a lot of fun too!
