What does it mean to experience ‘life in all its fullness’? The day will give teachers opportunity to explore some answers to this question through engaging with the term ‘spiritual development’. We will also consider how Ofsted and SIAMS evaluate spiritual development and explore how schools can go about expressing a shared understanding of their approach to spiritual development which is now a SIAMS requirement. There will be opportunity to consider a range of approaches to spiritual development based on the National Church of England Education Office report ‘Interpretations of spiritual development in the classroom.’
