The Harborough Singers will perform a concert of English choral music at All Saint’s Church, Brixworth NN6 9DF on Saturday March 18th at 7.30pm.
The title of the concert, ‘I got me flowers, a journey to Vaugh Williams’ comes from one of Vaughan Williams’ ‘Five Mystical Songs’, which will form the centrepiece of the evening. Music by Tallis, Byrd, Wesley, Parry and Stanford, all of whom had a hand in the making of Vaughan Williams, English icon, will also be performed.
Musical director will be Charlie Penn, baritone soloist Angus McPhee, and accompanist Andrew King.
