The Diocesan Advisory Committee (the DAC) is a statutory diocesan committee appointed by the Bishop. It offers advice to Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) and the Chancellor of the Diocese and Archdeacons, in relation to proposed works and matters affecting church buildings, their contents and churchyards, having due regard to the role of a church as a local centre of worship and mission. It also advises on the care and development of church buildings more generally. All DAC can only be attended by those on the DAC Board.

Join the Diocesan Mission Team to explore some of the "off the peg" enquirers courses (Alpha, Christianity Explored and Start Course), how to go about organising, inviting and running a course; also the key principles of listening, generous hospitality and faith journeys. This training is an online event.

FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 Award
Hope for Families is delighted to offer the accredited FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 Award training course for professionals and individuals supporting families, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, start a supportive conversation, and when and how to signpost someone to professional help. This training is conducted online using Zoom.
