The Diocesan Advisory Committee (the DAC) is a statutory diocesan committee appointed by the Bishop. It offers advice to Parochial Church Councils (PCCs) and the Chancellor of the Diocese and Archdeacons, in relation to proposed works and matters affecting church buildings, their contents and churchyards, having due regard to the role of a church as a local centre of worship and mission. It also advises on the care and development of church buildings more generally. All DAC can only be attended by those on the DAC Board.

An opportunity to gather all those involved in rural ministry to hear national speakers with experience of rural ministry, to listen to each others experiences, and start to consider what our rural strategy might look like.

This online event will take place on Teams over two sessions, starting on Monday, 08 September, 2025 followed by a second session on Monday, 15 September, 2025, both starting at 6pm.

The 350th anniversary of the Great Fire of Northampton will be marked with a special event in Market Square to round off a week-long series of free activities across the town. Events will take place in Market Square from 11am to 7.30pm, to be followed by a service at All Saints’ Church at 7.30pm featuring guests including the Revd Richard Coles.

This in-person event will take place over two sessions, starting on Monday, 22 September, 2025 followed by a second session on Monday, 29 September, 2025, both starting at 10am. This course will take place at Bouverie Court, 6 The Lakes, Northampton, NN4 7YD.

The Rural Mission and Ministry Course is designed for lay and ordained church leaders across the denominations entering a rural appointment, and those already in rural ministry who feel the need for a ‘refresher’.

Hope for Families is delighted to offer the accredited FAA Awareness of First Aid for Mental Health Level 1 Award training course for professionals and individuals supporting families, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. This qualification provides learners with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, start a supportive conversation, and when and how to signpost someone to professional help. This training is conducted online using Zoom.
