There are 103 Church of England schools and academies in the Peterborough Diocese. Three of these are secondary schools – in Northampton, Kettering and Peterborough – and the others are primary schools. Church primary schools can be found throughout the Diocese, serving both rural and urban communities. Our smallest primary schools have fewer than 40 pupils on roll; the largest accommodates more than 600.

No two Church schools are the same, of course, but they all share a Christian ethos, provide Christian worship and make Religious Education a key priority. Use the “Find a Church School” tool to locate schools in your area.

All Church schools are inspected by the Diocese according to a Statutory Inspection Framework for Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS); you can read the latest inspection reports for each school.

You will also find information about the schools’ admission policy. Many Church schools are extremely popular and need to apply their admission criteria in order to allocate places.
