Bishop's Missioner

The Bishop of Peterborough is excited to appoint an ordained senior member of staff to take on the role of Bishop’s Missioner. This is a new post, subject to national funding, and offers the unique opportunity to be a lead player in the development of a new Diocesan Strategy and to implement changes associated with this.

Working with senior colleagues, you will help shape both a rural and urban strategy, encouraging leadership development and working closely with our parish support teams to promote the health and vitality of all our parishes.

Experience of leading significant change is essential along with deep enthusiasm for strategic mission and ministry.


Hours: 35 hours per week 

Place of work: The main place of work will be the Diocesan Office, Bouverie Court, The Lakes, Northampton NN4 7YD with 1-2 days per week at the Bishops' Office, Peterborough.  The role holder will be required to attend other parts of the Diocese regularly as part of their role. Use of a personal vehicle with business use insurance is required. 

Renumeration: 
•   Salary: £43,000 plus housing 
•   Annual Leave: 25 days per year 

Probationary Period: Employment is subject to a six-month probationary period.
