Diocesan Safeguarding Advisory Panel - Independent Member

Are you passionate about ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals within the Diocese of Peterborough? Do you have a strong interest in contributing to our safeguarding work, regardless of your prior professional experience? If so, we invite you to become a valued member of our Safeguarding Advisory Panel as an Independent Volunteer.

About Us:

The Church of England in this Diocese is committed to creating an environment which is safe for all to visit, live, worship and work. Our Safeguarding Advisory Panel plays a pivotal role in advising and guiding us on matters related to safeguarding policies, procedures, and practices.

Your Role:

As an Independent Volunteer on our Safeguarding Advisory Panel, your unique perspective and commitment to our mission will be invaluable. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and providing feedback on safeguarding policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure they meet the needs of our community.
  • Offering insights and suggestions on effective ways to raise awareness and promote a culture of safeguarding within our organisation and the broader community.
  • Participating in discussions and contributing ideas to address emerging safeguarding challenges and opportunities.
